Nineteen folks came out for our meeting this past Monday. We started with a letter from Katherine Alley, requesting a donation from us for her to attend the July Eagle Forum Collegiate Summit in Washington, DC. We passed the hat for Kat and came up with $50 to help with her expenses.
There was an enthusiastic discussion of Paul LePage's win of the GOP nomination for governor. Wendy did well as the uncontested GOP candidate for State Representative in her district. Although Henry lost to Dana Dow for the GOP State Rep. position, we applauded him for his hard work during his campaign.
We discussed the upcoming parades, the first of which will be at Waldoboro Days, this Saturday, June 19, commencing at the VFW Hall, Mill ST., Waldoboro, at 9:30. The Constitutionalists will be wearing tan and/or white to distinguish ourselves, and we should probably get to the parade sight between 9:00 and 9:15.
A reminder, the next parade will be in Thomaston on July 3. Although it doesn't begin until 11:00 AM, it was suggested we get there early as it is a very large parade. We will be shooting for 9:00 or 9:30. We should also bring plenty of water and an umbrella.
Next Monday night, the Flynns will be speaking. Let's try to have a good turnout for them.
Since it was "movie night" this week, we watched the latest release by JBS, on Obama care, about 30 minutes, and another video, approximately 30 minutes long, American Tyranny, Step By Step, Saving Our Republic. This video pointed out the sobering similarities between Hitler's "brown shirts" and Obama's attempted establishment of a "youth corps" here in America.
The video that Greg planned to show for next month's movie night on Merck is not available because of royalty issues. Greg has some other ideas for videos to replace the Merck one.
The last meeting of the month we will be having Pastor Vermillion speak on the separation of church and state, if he is available.
We've ordered 300 more constitutions, which should get us through the parades and keep us stocked for quite awhile.
See you at Waldoboro Days!
