Public Hearing on HP215, LD 272: An Act to License Home Building and Improvement Contractors - will be held at 1:30 PM on January 12, 2010, in Room 208 of the Cross Office Building (behind the State House). I urge people to attend in opposition, if possible. What we do not need in this economic climate is more costs and regulatory controls placed on some of our building contractors (Mr. or Ms. Fix-Its). They are very much at a disadvantage and lacking work, and this will only place insumountable burdens on many - forcing them out of business, and maybe into the overcrowded welfare lines.
