Rep. Pingree's voting record on recent congressional bills is horrible as it pertains to constitutionality. The only vote that would have been considered constitutional was on the Supplemental Appropriations bill, H.R. 2346, and I suggest that the only reason she voted in opposition to this bill might be that it did not spend enough. We need to find a conservative in her district that can be widely supported - and defeat her. Actually her record is very similar to both of our senators' records, except that her one constitutional vote was on a different bill. Snowe & Collins both voted to oppose funding for ACORN, but voted for the Supplemental Appropriations. (I guess the $105.9 billion number was large enough for them. How frugal!) Pingree voted for Cap & Trade (H.R. 2454), for Foreign Aid Appropriations of $49 billion (H.R. 3081), for Transportation-HUD monies, $123.1 billion(H.R. 3288), for $730.5 billion for Labor-HHS-Education funding in H.R. 3293, for the "Cash for Clunkers" fiasco, for H.R. 3183 ($34 billion) energy & water projects, for H.R. 2997's Agriculture Dept. & FDA  appropriations of $121.2 billion, for another $32.3 billion for the Interior Dept., the EPA, and related agencies, and finally for the huge Health Care "reform" bill H.R. 3962 (an estimated $1 TRILLION, although it might be significantly higher). If my math is correct, that is over $2 Trillion that must be borrowed from other nations and other generations. This borrowing will lead to increased interest payments, and ALL of the present income tax revenue is used to pay existing interest on the debt. So, how much more taxes will be needed to pay the additional interest on these trillions??  She wants to spend us right "over the cliff"!
